Play/Pause Disparity
« on: September 21, 2007, 12:58:29 am »

 :)
Hi all,
I fixed an issue where I needed to have Media Center use the Windows Media Player video engine - for lack of a better expression. Now I found something interesting.

I love that there is actually a stop button. It seems nifty because I believe that sometimes the simple way is the best. However, after I play a file I see the stop and play buttons. While something is playing could you show a pause button in the play button location - but still leave the stop button where it is.  ;D

See ya.

Doesn't MC already do this.

Show the play button as pause during playback.

Show the play button when paused.

Ah, yes it does but only when using audio playback.

When using the slide show for playback, or when playing a video, the play button still shows as play rather than a paus button. It does not alternate during playback.  :'(

It is probably just a minor glitch.

BTW my system is: ASUS P5k-WS,QX6700,4 gig ram,BFG 8600GTS OC,1 Raptor 150, 2 500Gig WD NCQ in Raid 1, Vista Ultimate 64bit.

I can't reproduce this with images or DirectX video.  Make sure you have the latest build from the top of this board.

Try the Noire skin.  If it keeps happening, what's the exact file type you're playing? (i.e. mp3, mp4, etc.)

Thanks.
