VIDEO_TS problem
« on: September 28, 2007, 11:23:05 pm »

Auto import overwrites any tags from VIDEO_TS DVDs.  For example, I will add my DVD collection and right-click, fill properties from filename, [Genre]/[Name], and then when Auto Import goes through, it will erase these tags and replace them with the very common VIDEO_TS name.  Yuck!  This problem disallows my ability to use auto-import for obvious reasons.  Its worthless without tags.  Also, please develop some method for storing DVD tag info in the VIDEO_TS folders!  MC could simply save a .txt file there with its information in XML format!  MC should do this for formats it can't directly edit tags in.  An option should be provided, as well.

perhaps J River could look at the method used by My Movies.  It works great with Vista.  Perhaps J River could real the XML tags and artwork as well.
