Video thumbnails on iPod Classic
« on: October 04, 2007, 09:33:56 am »

Hi all, quick question: I just manually added a bunch of .mp4 video files to my 160GB iPod Classic using MC12.0.337. They all added successfully but when I view them on the iPod, all of the thumbnails are just the generic MC blue & white "Play" button image. All of the videos I added with iTunes have thumbnails of a frame from the actual video.

What gives? MC shows thumbnails of the videos correctly in the program, but the iPod doesn't. Thanks!

We haven't added this feature yet.

OK, that would explain it!  ;D

Thanks for the quick response. Any idea when this will be implemented? Thanks again.

It'll be in the next build (340).

It'll be in the next build (340).

Not to rush things but if that could be implemented along with being able to tag the files as TV Shows with Season\Episodes then we could use this to organize videos that way.

Since this is a thumbnails/ ipod thread, I'll throw up this bug again ;)
M4B files with embedded chapter art are initially recognised as video by MC. The chapter art is there & works properly, including when the media type is changed to the correct audio. When syncing to the iPod however, all images are replaced with the MC thumbnail  :(

Cheers
