I don't know if MC can do this directly or if you can recommend a good 3rd party program that can do this, but basically I want to create a DVD that you can put into any dvd player, and play a 15-20 min slide show with effects etc, and music. It will also contain a directory with the JPG's that were used for the slideshow.

I do have Nero 6 (came with my burner) but don't know if it can do it, or if there is a better tool than that.


I need this for a Windows PC, and at an affordable price.

Preferrable I would love to do it right within MC since all the media is already in my MC library but I don't know if I can.

Well, one man's 'affordable' is another man's pipe dream, but I find that photodex proshow gold is an extremely accomplished program for slideshow dvds.

I use it in conjunction with MC. MC allows you to find the photos and music you want to use and then you can simply drag and drop from MC into ProShow. With MC12's support for image tag writing, captions etc. set within MC are available for use in your slideshow too. All very handy indeed.

My preferred tool is Adobe Premiere Elements.

A side benefit of learning this app for slide shows is that if you ever decide to add video to your shows then you are already working with the best application on the market.

Thanks Marko, Iv'e been touring Proshow Gold and it looks pretty good. I will be downloading it shortly and take it for a test drive. but the contest slideshows are simply amazing!
