File Problem with Burning
« on: December 03, 2007, 11:39:13 am »

I'm trying to take a file off my Olympus Digital Voice Recorder (VN3100-PC) and put it on a CD.  I can get it on the PC and play it back but it won't burn, I get an error message about needing Directshow filters.

Help!

Thanks!

What is the source file format? Are you trying to burn an audio CD or a data CD with MP3 conversion?

Most likely the file is not in the Red Book audio CD format (stereo, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz).

Can you record a short sample (a few seconds would be fine) and provide a link?

I'll do this today.

However before I had to entirely reload XP into the computer this process (record and burn) went without a hitch.  I'm 90% sure that was the only change.
