Author Topic: Anyone know how to use Logitech iTouch keys with Media Jukebox?  (Read 1186 times)

The Logitech website explains how to edit the system registry to control Winamp with the iTouch Play/Pause, Stop, Next Song & Last Song buttons on Logitech keyboards w/those keys.  I just modified it by changing it to Media Jukebox.  However, if I push the play button MJ will open up but none of the Logitech buttons will control it.  Does anyone know how I can make my Logitech Cordless Desktop Pro keyboard buttons work with MJ?

If it's relevant, I'm running WXP Pro and MJ8 w/the most current software/drivers for my keyboard.

Thanks in advance!

Yup. Find "players.ini" in the Logitech folder and add the following line...

MediaJukebox=cmd,media jukebox.exe,MJFrame,MEDIA JUKEBOX,xxx,32778,32779,32780,32781,32782,0,1,Media Jukebox

Once this is done, reboot and you should find the keys working well.

Gatobrit

Done this, but when I press play it starts Real Jukebox - how do I make MJ the default?

Cheers

Strange.  I made both these changes a while ago, but never could get the Play button to activate MJ.  It brings up a box that lets me select among Windows Media Player, Real Player, and Windows Media Player 7.  However all the controls--volume, track change, stop, etc.-- work fine in MJ once I open the program.  So I assigned another of the itouch keys to open MJ and use it instead of the Play button.

You must also add the App Path in the registry for MJ to show up in the list. Download mjAppPath.reg HERE, double-click it and answer yes. Now exit and re-start iTouch (or reboot if you prefer). Media Jukebox should now be in the list.

Also, on my system, using the following line in my players.ini seems to work a little smoother for me:

MediaJukebox=wac,media jukebox.exe,MJFrame,MEDIA JUKEBOX,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,0,1,Media Jukebox 8
