IS MJ 8 compatable with Remote Controls?
« on: August 10, 2002, 03:14:01 pm »

I just purchase a remote control with basic options (Play, Stop, Next Track, Previous Track, Vilume Up, Volume Down, Mute, Playlist 1 - 9, entire library) ITs an awesome remote, but the Jukebox that came with the remote isn't the greatest. I love MJ8 and was wondering if it is compatable with remote controls> IF not can you guys make it?

Others may have more to say, but I'd recommend checking out Girder. ( http://girder.nl )

It's complicated to setup, but once it's done, it's quite smooth.  I use MJ, Girder, and a remote to run my whole home A/V system. (CD, DVD, TV, APE, Images (MJ 9 ;) ), etc.)

Gimmie a G...
Gimmie a I...
Gimmie a R...

OK I will stop now...

What Jim said... Girder is the defacto command and control app... Couple it with an IR reciever and almost any brand of IR Remote will work...
