(a couple more) cache questions

I am re-thinking my current strategy regarding ripping and have the following questions:
+ I have a 160G iPod, can I pre-create the cache so I don't have to tie my ipod up while MC is converting my library?

+ Will the play count/ratings from the iPod get translated back to the "main" library?

Where do I find the option to pre-create the cache?

Plug in the handheld.  Options->Handheld->Conversion->Converted Files Cache.  There is a build cache option there.  (Although you might have to enable the cache first and exit and re enter the Options page.)

Oh, and if you limit the cache size I believe the option is not available.
