I feel dumb, but I had to re-install MC12 and I can't remember how to keep the mini-view always on top.  I thought I could right click, but it doesn't come up. 

Also, I can't remember or find how to turn off the function when you leave your mouse over a title for a second the info box displays.  Sorry for the simple questions, but I've been looking in the options and not sure what I'm looking for.

I switched mini views and found the always on top choice.

Go to:

Tools -> Options -> Tree and View
and untick the "Show Track Info Tootltips" under the "List" section.
