Why Does It Take So Long To Cancel a Burn?
« on: January 13, 2008, 11:03:33 am »

70 minutes worth in queue.
20 songs in queue.
Burn mode is cross-fade.
Burn format is cda.

After 3 songs "prepped", I clicked "Cancel".

5 minutes later the cancel process has not completed.

How can I shorten this process?

Are you cancelling once the burn begins?  It may still close the disc in this case so that you don't have a coaster.

No, the disk has not begun to turn.

I also specified blending from one song to the next and that was part of the processing. AFter 3 songs had been prepped, I canceled. The program appeared to hang, but the Task Manager said it was still running. Didn't see any open dialog boxes either.

Make sure you have build 410 installed from the top of this board.

If the burn hasn't started, a cancel should be almost immediate.
