JRWorker.exe Constantly Starting and Stopping

JRWorker.exe is constantly launching and exiting. Every time it does it, my foreground app loses focus. This is not even remotely a good thing to have happening every few seconds. The log looks normal at least from what I can see. It isn't stuck trying to build thumbnails for the same file over and over again. :'(

I'm sure it is simply building thumbnails (for multiple files, not just one over and over).  It shouldn't steal focus, but I certainly have seen it do so... I suspect these issues are typically related to external filters and programs that MC calls to build thumbs (particularly for video).

It can be a pain but once the thumbnails are all built it will stop!

I'll leave it to do its thing when I leave for work today. I am doing an overnight shift so I hope its done when I get back.

Usually it builds thumbnails only when the files are browsed. For example, it does not build video thumbnails when you are browsing the audio gategory.

You may need to start the process manually if you want to do it unattended:
Options > Tree & View > Thumbnails > Build missing thumbnails...

I'm seeing some strange behavior with Jr.worker that I have not observed in the past. It seems to bog down my system, windows are flashing and losing focusing, I had to work real hard to minimize MC and even then my other apps wouldn't respond very well, but only 20% of the cpu is being used. Just seems a lot more intrusive than it used to be.

Are you by any chance using a really new version of ffdshow. I reverted to an early December version and the system doesn't get severely bogged down any more.
