Our brewpub opens tonight!  It's been a long time coming.  The brewery becomes operational in a few months.  www.scbco.com

Quite a "quiet opening" we had.  We intentionally told only our stockholders, as we wanted a "shakedown" weekend to work out the bugs.  Well, the word got out, and we had about twice the crowd we expected--including the newspaper, so I think next weekend will be a zoo.

Matt - I drank 5 beers on behalf of J River.

Zev - I drank 5 more on your behalf.  And, yes, I am very involved.  President of Business Operations.  Also, many of the initial recipes will be mine, and of course I will assist our brewmaster.  Oh, I am also the dedicated mud buggy driver.

King - We will eventually license our beers for distribution to other states (once they are being brewed at this facility).  The licensing requirements for that sort of thing are very complicated.

MachineHead - Anyone is welcome to drop in!  For now, hours are Thu 4-12, Fri & Sat 2-12, Sun one hour before Packer game until ?.  I'll generally work Thursday nights.  Bluehand--that would be so cool.  But I don't think we could afford Scott and the boys yet.  Also, our pub is so small, and the city has an ordinance against amplifed music on beer gardens.

King - Well, I did, I just didn't "assign" them to you specifically.  :)

I will do it again this weekend, just for you.

Did ya dump mud in anyones boot?? That's always pleasant. I used to pour concrete foundations years ago. On occasion we had to call in a pump truck for tough sites. I sometimes got wrangled into hoseman duty. You know, walk on top of the walls and guide the hose along. The other guys always thought it was funny to slip a little spoonful of mud into my boots.

Big mistake. That hose can pump more concrete then what a truck can put into it. They never thought it was too funny when the hose 'slipped' out of the wall and filled up their bags, boots and whatever else was open at the time. HHE HEH HEH!!! Revenge can be a sweet thing sometimes.

Congratulations, Scronch!  10 beers.  Wow!  Oh, and the pub.  Way to go, Scronch!  Thanks for the portrait.  We're going to have it enhanced and do a face scan so we can check it against our crackers' log.  ;)

Machinehead,
Very funny.  I've tipped a few myself.  When a wheelbarrow of concrete starts to go, it's like knowing that your motorcycle has just passed the point of no return.  You can only watch it and hope nobody else is.

It looks like Scronch's mud buggy is a little more difficult to tip than a wheel barrel!
Congrats Scronch!  I tipped a few beers for ya myself (as if I needed a reason), although, I can't remember how many.

Jim, I love crackers.  Wheat, with Swiss cheese, though.  Remember, Wisconsinite.

MachineHead and Chico - I've never dumped a wheelbarrow (well, not that I'd admit to, because I'd have to buy the beer again).  Love those buggies.  Happily, we're almost done with the concrete work on the brewery.

Spent tonight cleaning up the cash register programming, fixing some bugs in the credit card terminal, figuring out why my scheduled tasks weren't always running under XP (password issue; I really am not an XP fan), and, finally, reprogramming the Guide feature on the 3 TV's (which was the hardest of all!).  Oh, and I even tipped a few for you guys.
