I just got a new DVD drive and started using it as my main CD ripper. I tested the drive to see how fast it would rip in secure mode and got like 4-5x speed, maybe 6x. But now it's ripping CDs up to 12x speed. I ripped a CD in normal mode and got like 17x-18x speed.
I have noticed that the drive seems to be working a lot harder (louder) ?
Should I be worried?
This is the drive I'm using
