Rendering Video - m2t to ? - Playable in J Iver
« on: December 31, 2007, 12:45:26 am »

Purchased an HD tape camcorder recently and it appears the easiest way to stream the video to computer is by a program that has it as a m2t file.  J River can't play this so I have to render it into another format while keeping hd.

Can anybody point me in the right direction here because I'm using a lot of codecs and they are either crap for rendering or J River doesn't understand them.

Thanks.

m2t should play in MC. You may need to select a specific video decoder for it to work.

I can my HDV M2T (Program Stream) files in MC just fine with a range of different filters including MS (Vista), nVidia, etc.  You may have some stutter issues with some filters if you M2T files are Transport Stream.  What type of M2T files do you have (eg MPEG2-PS @ 25mbs)?

Got it working.  Another question though...like MKV's before it (now fixed) MC recognizes M2t files as data.  Anyway to force it to recognize as video?  I know I can update it in the tag I just don't want to have to every time I pull a file in.

Thanks.
