I have ATI decoder installed.    How do I configure MC12 to used the ATI dvd decoder for mpeg playback?  I am also using CCCP codecs.   What is the best setting for CCCP?  Thanks.

Having ATI filters and CCCP should allow mpeg files played in MC without any problems.

ATI filters (I suppose they are Cyberlink decoders) are quite good. You probably do not even need to do any configuration - MC should play mpeg files. In case you have problems, you can go to Tools -> Options -> Playback -> DirectShow Playback Settings...

On the resulting window, you should find a list of types played in DirectShow on the right hand side. mpg and mpeg are there, and the check boxes are checked. Select the type and click "Select Filters" button. A Choose Filters window shows up. You can select audio and video decoders from the list called "Other Filters".

Try "Cyberlink Audio decoder" and "Cyberlink Video Decoder" (or their ATI variations).

The FFDShow Audio Decoder installed as part of CCCP should also work. FFDShow Video decoder can also decode MPEG, so can "MPV decoder" - also part of CCCP.

See DirectShow Playback Guide wiki for more details.
