Stream sound simultaneously to two sound cards
« on: February 16, 2008, 12:14:56 pm »

Hi,

I am new to MC12 and trying now for a while to stream my music to two sound cards simultaneously. Looks like it works fine when setting up multi-zones. However if I do any changes like stopping or going to the next song it gets out of sync.
Is there a way to keep two zones always in sync or is there maybe another way to get my music out on two sound cards.

Thanks in advance

Tom

I would be interested in this, too.  In fact, is there a way to quickly mute a single zone?  I wanted to use multiple zones to AB compare MP3 vs. FLAC audio but it doesn't seem like there is a good way to do this.

So I don't think it's possible.

i think muting one zone is not realy difficult. use
mc12.exe /10017,16777216
for the first zone
mc12.exe /10017,33554432
for the second.
but i never tried that with two synchronized zones.

the commands are here: http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/Media_Center_Core_Commands#Zones

and welcome to the forum misterlupo. :)
