Unable to play VOB/IFO files
« on: February 21, 2007, 06:32:44 am »

For some reason i can;t play ripped dvd files anymore. (v12.0.164)
I have all the appropriate drivers installed (cyberlink / nvidia / even tried InterVideo) but I get and error saying "....Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location"

are the files on an external harddisk?
i get that when i forget to put them on :P , or when windows with its mighty wisdom decides to give the drive an other letter.
sometimes i get it when i want to play a music file on an internal disk and restarting mc solves that.

I found out what the issue was: I was ripping them with DVD Decrypter and was stripping too much info out of the vob files. If I rip the DVD on default settings in DVD Decrypter it's all good.

I can't play them if they are on a USB drive.

I can play them if they are on a local drive.

There is also a workaround that let's me use the USB drive. See attached thread if this sounds like the issue you are having.
