Multi-byte problem in v8!?!
« on: August 05, 2002, 11:25:53 am »

Hi,

Choosing the default "Album" in "Media Library" will show tracks on
the list at the right side.  But I just found this doesn't always
work with mutli-bytes characters (traditional Chinese songs).  That
is, when click on those Chinese Album, empty list returned.  Also,
MJ v8 can't read some Chinese characters.

The above problems didn't happen in v7.  The chinese charcters also
displayed correctly in WinAmp and Windows Media Player.

Any clue?  Thanks in advance

Dong.

Hey Dong,

Media Jukebox has very limited multi-byte support.  Hopefully it will improve in future versions, but it's a very complicated problem.

Sorry...
