Exercise Music
« on: August 05, 2002, 09:10:48 am »

Anyone out there using MJ to play music while they work out (treadmill, stepper, lift weights, etc.)?  Or maybe you use MJ to load up your "Handheld" music device to take with you jogging, biking, etc.

What are some of your favorite workout tunes?

I really like "Hold Your Head Up" by "Argent" as it has a relentless beat that pushes me forward and positive lyrics exhorting you to persevere (which can be useful when you're not really in the mood to exercise).

Constantly. Via my Bantam and its agonizing process to get tunes from MJ to it because of their criminal lack of Steve Grove support.

If you like 'Argent' try 'Foreigner', their album Foreigner 4 has some great workout tracks, 'I'm Gonna Win' is really good if you're not in the mood. Used to use it a lot when I was a Personal Trainer!!

"Night In Tunisia"...Art Blakey, Clifford Brown, Horace Silver and Lou Donaldson, One Night At Birdland. 11 Minutes plus of high intensity bebop. Trying to keep pace will put you in terminal oxygen debt.

Here's one for the exercise bike:
Listening to: 'Tour De France (12 Inch Remix)' by 'Kraftwerk' on Media Jukebox

I also like to listen to New Order when working out. Good electronica played LOUD!

one of them is marky mark - good vibarations

i am not at home but i can get up a list for you later.

one i have been looking for is one i heard when doing arobics when i was in texas back in 1995. I am not sure of the name but during the music there was a remark about "mega blaster" i have seen a few with mega blaster in the song name but it was not the song.
