Force album artwork in tags on transfer
« on: March 07, 2008, 07:16:41 am »

I store my album artwork as folder.jpg in its respective album folder. This is the way I prefer it for my library. But when syncing songs to a handheld or over internet I rarely transfer complete albums. In this case I'd prefer to store the artwork in the tags. MC does this when I convert on transfer but not when the original files are transfered.
Is it possible to add the option to store it in tag when transfered?

I have the same problem with my iPod. Coverart is on the harddisk but should also be inside the tags. My solution is to create a smart list that's just showing files without coverart inside tags. Then I do a "quick-search for cover-art inside folder" from the menu and this looks for folder.jpg in the folder of the file and adds it if existing. Because I'm at work now, I can't exactly tell you in detail where to find the menu or what is the caption.

However with this I guarantee that all files where cover-art is available also has it inside the tags.

best regards,
