Can I have the same song playing on multiple computers?
« on: March 26, 2008, 01:27:11 pm »

I have several computers networked together. I am using MC on one with library server. The other computers have Media Jukebox and are connect to the library server. Is there a way to start a song/playlist on all computers at the same time? Is there a way to have the client computers act as zones for library server?

This is actually in an office setting and I would like to play music throughout the office and control it from one computer.

I'm only a satisfied customer, but I've had pretty good luck with 'Airfoil' from Rogue Amoeba software:

http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil

You can install their helper application on remote computers, the main Airfoil app on your machine with MC, and away you go...

Sync is still a bit of a problem, although I discovered that if I launch Airfoil (and subsequently let it launch MC) that the synchronization is very tight with my main stereo and 2 slave machines....
