Glitch MC 12 when playing a mp3 song
« on: April 16, 2008, 12:45:02 pm »

Hello,

I have been using MC for the past 6 years, MC 12 for 2 years.  I never had major issues until
my last update (12.0.441).

When playing a song in the "Playing Now" screen, right before the song ends, if I double click the
next song, SOMETIMES not all the time the program freezes up and the song that's already playing does a repeated skip.  At this point the program will not allow me to do anything.  I must press Ctl,Alt & Del in order to close the program.  After I close it this way, I can reopen the program and it opens exactly to the point where it lefted off.

I am a DJ and have been using MC as my program.  For the past month, the program has locked up every gig I've been on (once every 3 to 4 hours).  This is why this problem is important to me to get fixed.

Thanks,
Rick

Try a more recent build.  12.0.476 is on the top of this board.  But the problem could be a driver for the sound hardware.

What file types are you playing?  MP3?

Jim,

I am playing MP3's.  Also, my computer has had no hardware changes and worked
fine for the past 2 1/2 years.  I don't see how it could be a hardware issue if it has
not changed?

Please try the newer build, as Jim recommended.

If you still have the issue, let us know and we'll dig deeper.

Thanks.
