Hi,

After reading the Wiki and reading through some of the threads on image tagging I am still confused. Well, I know more but...

For example: "People" and "Places".

Will other apps know how to read these tags?

If I share images with friends, will the applications they use be able to extract "People" and "Places"?

For JPEG files, we read IPTC, XMP, EXIF, and JRiver XML.

We write IPTC, XMP, and JRiver XML.

Rating and keywords are the most universally supported image tags.  Support of other tags is less certain, depending on the application.
