I'm still having some problems after all this time... Basically, my TS buffer is set for 1 hour. When the 1 hour mark is reached, playback (video and audio) starts to stutter every 10 seconds or so. Rewinding a little fixes it for a while but then starts again. CPU utilisation is excellent (10-15% with HD streams) and there's loads of available memory. Not so long ago I even upgraded the disk to a faster SATA II model with 32MB cache but to no avail. I have a number of PCs, all different, and the issue occurs with each of them. I could increase the TS buffer to say 24 hours and be done with it but I don't particularily want to do this. I never get stutter with any other media playback, period.
The other long time annoyance is that AC3 audio (via spdif passtru) still does not work consistently. REGARDLESS of the audio codec in use (I've settled with AC3Filter) changing channels from a HD/AC3 stream to a SD/MPEG audio stream results in a loss of audio. If I start on the SD channel, it's ok until I switch to a HD channel - I get sound but no AC3! A friend of mine (who I recently encouraged to sign-up for MC) is sadly experiencing the exact same issue on his system.
Is there any chance of getting these things resolved once and for all please?
