Error messagers

what does error device mean ?? I have already killed 7 blank cd's and I am desperately wanting to copy these songs !! One of the error messagers is error # 1004 URGENT !!!!

I think you should check the test-mode box in the settings function first. Check it until you have a sucessful mock burn.

try to slow down burning speed.

have you updated the so called "ASPI"? http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/aspi.html

I also had error when burning music by MJB8.0. At that time my OS was (still is) WINDOWS2000. I went to update the ASPI, and MJB burns successful now.

Put it into test mode and lower the speed as Lucy suggests (on the CD Writer options page). This error is due to the drive not tracking properly so I wonder if it's a hardware problem. Maybe slowing the speed will help. If a lower speed works, uncheck the "test mode" box and try a real burn.
