Windows XP Media Center
« on: July 30, 2002, 09:21:26 pm »

Hello JRiver,

Any plans for Media Jukebox to operate on Windows XP Media Center?  Maybe this is not a huge deal if it really is the XP operating system without too many mods. on top.  It would be cool if a user could use Media Jukebox in place of Media Player.  I'm not anxious to use this new Microsoft product myself (building my own custom system with little-known pieces of hardware/software to get something running is half the fun...), but I would hate to see the masses think that Media Player is as good as it gets...

Well, if WMP8 is any indication of the level of produce that Microsoft can produce, then I wouldn't hold my breath for Media Center.  After all, WMP8 is a "steaming pile of dog poo".

We will offer Media Center features on all recent versions of Windows.

Media Center is supposed to be strictly an OEM product.
