DataMaster broken?
« on: July 14, 2008, 03:29:13 pm »

I used DataMaster to grab lyrics about 6 months ago.

Now when I add about 30K files for batch, it locks up at 11 each time.

I tried a batch of just mp3 (vs. .ape .flac .m4a etc.) but I got the same result.

I'll try to remove and re-install; any ideas?

I've been trying at various times over the last few days. It's really crawling, but exponentially slower as it runs. I've only made it to about 50 out of 30K files (checking one field) over about 6 hours.

Seems like something isn't working properly on the server end to me.

Thanks Sparta!

I think there is a problem however.

After you reset I loaded up DM, and the Data Sources (i.e. MagicRandy) showed entries whereas they didn't before. The batch started to work, and I noticed the progress bar working, which was not before, for each submission regardless of whether or not data to be downloaded is found.

I stopped the batch to change a field, restarted, and now the Sources are gone, and no progress bar, and it locks up after 5.

MC is locked up by DataMaster as such right now when I tried to Get Fields.

I will make no changes to it.

For You It Appears Not To Work.

It's not working for others as well.

I'm showing disconnects in the Datamaster Event list.

Everything worked great, but only momentarily, after your server reboot.

No ones asking for changes mate; it's a great plugin.

I've offered it home on my server if that would help (in the other thread).

Hopefully some others who have similar issues can chime in and we can solve the problem with the Datamaster plugin.

Sincerely,
DC

That's How I Made It To Work, that Actually Slows It Down.

That Is A Bad Side Effect I Know, I Did Not intended It That Way But There Was A Problem And That Seemed To Fix It.

The Hosting Will Not Work Since That Would Require A A Change In The Program To Change The Server IP Address.

That Will Solve Nothing

It's sad.

But I understand you. And thanks for the time you invested. Saved me hours and days and more.
