How to remove incorrect image tags & thumnails
« on: June 13, 2008, 05:05:47 pm »

Not sure how this happened, but most of my mp3 songs have the same and incorrect images attached, which display as thumnails.
How can I correct / remove & restore these please, any suggestions welcome.
Thanks, Gerard

If you have multiple tracks stored in the same directory as a single folder.jpg, the folder.jpg will be used for all.

Cover art may changes can be done by selecting files and choosing "tag".

Hello Jim, thanks for the quick reply.
That's exactly what happened, I do not know why.
I did a search on my PC to find any folder.jpg and deleted these.
I now have to try and see if proper images are appearing . . . it seems to work.

I'm having the same problem with bad thumbs.  There are hundreds of them in my library.  I read the above post but I don't understand that advice.  My songs are all under the same directory so I don't know why they'd have the same thumbs.

What do I do to fix this problem?

Use MC's Library Tools/Rename, Move, and Copy tool to move a few files to directorys by Album/Artist.  Just experiment with a handful until you understand what it does.

Right click on the files, then choose the tool.

There are many threads on cover art here.  You could start in the FAQ on the MC12 board.
