Did some testing for you:
All that follows performed with MC already open. All selected tracks always make it into playing now.
highlighted 20 mp3s, right click, "play in media center"...
got the following warning:
I tried this a few times, and each time, the tracks arrived in playing now in blocks of 4 or more.
It did not maintain the correct album track order and appears to begin playback at a random place in the list, at least, the tracks were in a different order and a different track began playing, each time I tried.
When right clicking a folder, the option "Media Center > Play" always sends all tracks to playing now in the correct order and begins playback from track #1.
Similar tests made with MC closed..."Right click on folder, Media Center, Play" always behaved as expected.
"right click on selected mp3s > play in media center" is not right.
I tried 3 times. All selected tracks appeared twice. the other time, 1 track was missing.
The track that gets right clicked on in explorer matters:
Right click on the first track, the list loads and plays from track 2
Right click on track #10, the list loads from 10 to the end, followed by 1 - 9, and begins playback from track #11
im,vho, the 'right clicked file' should not be something we should have to worry about.
I was also sure that this was something that was trialled a while back, around the time stacking became "right click file aware", and was changed after numerous complaints, I might be wrong about that though.
EDIT: I was half wrong. At that time, the menus in question were internal ones, not explorer ones.

either way, it's not really working in a very intuitive manner at the moment, and is definitely dropping files along the way.
