I started ripping some CDs into MP3 VBRs and then changed my mind and decided I wanted to store them losslessly and use FLAC instead. Of course I have to rerip those CDs that I already did, but I want to preserve the extra information I entered into the library fields of the MP3s, including the track names (which are not in YADB, or not correctly anyway) and so on. Basically I want to tell MC: "Take this (MP3) album, and make a one-to-one correspondence between each track in this album with the corresponding track in this other directory (containing the FLAC files), using perhaps "Track No." as a key (which I would have in defined places in both filenames), transfer all the library metadata to the FLAC files, and import them instead of the original files."
Of course, this is not going to be a single-step operation, but is there a sequence of steps that will achieve this without my having to reenter the library metadata?
