Error 3013 Vista
« on: April 18, 2009, 01:17:45 pm »

I'm getting a lot of error reports in Event Viewer - 20 in the last hour alone - with the code 3013. They are all "Search" errors in the "Gatherer" task category with the details:-

"The entry <C:\USERS\JOHN\APPDATA\ROAMING\J RIVER\MEDIA CENTER 13\LIBRARY\FIELD (DURATION) (1).JMD> in the hash map cannot be updated.

Context:  Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details:
A device attached to the system is not functioning.   (0x8007001f)"

Can anybody tell me what this is all about? Should I worry about it? What can I do to stop it?

TIA. John.

This sounds like a file system / Vista issue.

However, "FIELD (DURATION) (1).JMD" is not even a file Media Center uses.  Only "Field (Duration).jmd" is needed.  The parenthesis one thing makes it seem like a copy or temp file.

You might make a backup then erase any field files with (#).

Thank you Matt. I'll try as you suggest.
