Moving Files - Intentional Behaviour?
« on: September 19, 2008, 09:04:59 am »

Background: Rearranging my library, and have essentially done it the wrong way  :(

1. I've moved a bunch of audio files (audiobooks) from \educational\audiobooks to \audiobooks\educational. Unfortunatley that left a heap of directories with data files, e.g companion guidebooks
2. No dramas figures I, move old folder to new shall I (token pirate speak for international speak like a pirate day)
3. Off I go to MC's Drives and devices view, and start moving files
4. Realise that MC isn't actually merging the directories - as typical by most file management tools - but is instead creating "copy of xyz"

Is this intentional? To my mind, the default behaviour should match that of Windows Explorer etc, with a warning but the intent to merge.

Arrgh, frustrated now be I.

Where be me parrot?
