FF/Rew for videos: change in behavior?
« on: September 27, 2008, 05:27:16 am »

Previously, when I pressed "FF" on my remote once, the video would run at an accelerated pace, say x5. Each consequent press would increase the rate to x10, x20 etc.

Pointing at the progress bar with the mouse and then using the roller wheel, had the same behavior.

Now, I need to keep the "FF" button pressed, and the video forwards at a preset rate.

Is it possible to change to the previous behavior, anyone?

There are two different sets of commands - Playing at a faster rate, or jumping forward.

It could be how your remote key is mapped.

DVD player also has an option to swap the two commands.

Thanks for your response.

Oddly enough, when I deselected "use wmp as playback engine" FF/Rew etc. started bahaving as it used to do.
