I currently have a MCE remote. it's not Microsoft brand but seems to work well with Vista MC.

I've tried with MC but chapter/track skipping doesn't work. Rewind and forward are useless either. And I do not see a button for DVD menu.

Anyhow, the plan is to buy a Harmony 1 and buy the MCE remote for the IR module.

Is this the best way to go or maybe there are better IR modules for Harmony?

I use IR Module from MCE and use Harmony 880 it seems to work fine for me.. I'm also able to skip tracks with regular remote.

I have the 880 (Want the One) and it works well with the standard Media Center IR receiver. I originally tried media jukebox and was so blown away by the interface I bought Media Center - almost entirely based on the functionality with my Harmony remote.
