Let me describe the problem first. I have a decent size music collection (20,000+). I have collect the files through all different sources. I also have collect quite a few playlists, songs included over the years. I would like to go through and clean up the duplicate songs an much as possible. For example, I have a playlist for the Top 100 songs for 2000, most of the songs do not have the associated album, but I also have the whole album. I want to delete and replace the single song with the album song in the playlist and not lose its place in the list. Is there any way to do this other than each one manually? I would almost be a merge properties and then delete on or the other.
Any ideas of suggestions would be great. My duplicate is is over 3000 songs. Some are legitimate duplicates but others are not.
