unable to check for upgrades
« on: July 23, 2002, 12:35:39 pm »

I am a version 7 purchaser that has recently upgraded to 8.  Since then, when I run check for upgrades..., I immediately get a message that the version info file could not be read.  What gives?

Can you try again?  Should work.  I just checked it.

Nope.  Same thing.

This is on my second (home) computer if that makes a difference.  I haven't checked the original work computer in a while (been on vacation).  Something funny happened when I added to my second computer (about a week ago).  I've tried to search for my id using my email address and the website says the address isn't listed.  But I "viewed" my rrg file and it lists the right address.

So, I backed up the rrg on my original computer to complete the install on the second.  The register command is greyed, which is supposed to mean that part went okay.  But since browsing the FAQ's, I saw that a second computer can only be added within two weeks of the original...I don't know if this has something to do with it or not...

If you have an rrg license that's probably for version 7.  There is a FAQ here under Jukebox/Purchase.

Double check that you have 8.0 installed -- check MJ Help.
