Where are TV channels stored?
« on: December 10, 2008, 04:35:51 am »

I want to remove TV-channels from MC. How can I do that?
And where are other TV-settings stored (in the registry?)

The TV settings are in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Center [version]\TV Settings

The TV channels are in the registry key for MC 12 and earlier. They are in the MC database for MC13.

Thanks.
In MC 12 and earlier I could edit/delete TV channels in the registry key.
In MC 13 TV Options I only can edit channels. But how should I delete channels in MC 13?

You can create a smart list, using rules "TV Channel" is not empty, "File Type" is "tvlb". That will show all your TV channels. You can then delete them.

Thanks. That works, but isn't that a strange way to do it. Shouldn't there be an option to delete channels in the TV section of MC?

Yes, sort of strange. I told you the method only because you asked  :D

May be we should add a TV channel management tool somewhere.

Thanks heavens for this thread.. I thought I was going nuts as I couldn't work out how to delete channels either! This definately needs to be brought back in for v13!!!

By the way, where's the export/import channel data function gone to?

That is lost in recent overhaul too.
