I'm trying to get the Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1950 USB Tuner to work with Media Center 12.0.534.  The tuner works fine with WinTV 6 (excellent pic & sound) but does not work with MC.  The audio is chopy and the video is like a series of snapshots.  I've tried various combinations of the DirectShow filters with no improvement.  I'm tuning analog channels only via a cable box (no digital). 

Has anyone been able to get this model to work?  Thanks in advance.  Here is the filter graph showing the current info.

It appears that the device uses MPEG-2 compression. The generic code that applies to most devices does not work well with it. Therefore there seems to be no easy way of getting it to work in MC12. I should be able to add code in MC13 to make it work better.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I would gladly upgrade to MC13 if that would resolve the issues.  Should I do it now or wait until you have something for me to test?

I am not sure how soon I can get around to this issue. It can be days or weeks.

Whether to upgrade now depends on how well you can tolerate glitches in beta software.
