Best party effect suggestions

I am hosting a party and I am looking for opinions on the best way to use MC.  I have been looking at the different views and there are so many combinations that it is hard to choose the best.  For instance, if you want to just let it play a playlist and walk away but leave the monitor up showing a visual, which visualization is the best?  What cool bells and whistles could be shown?  Would upgrading to MC13 enhance any of the playback features (views)?
