Media Center 12 under Vista, Library error

Reading of TAG information from MP3 Tag's flawed, if in the TAG Info Umlauts are included.
All media files stored on a Samba NAS drive (Buffalo Terra Station).
Content such as rating, situation and other will not appear in the Library, although the informations contained in the TAG fields. (1400 from 7000 TAG infos not correct.
Same constellation under XP is no problem. All TAG informations are correct in the library after reading again.

I'm not certain I understand.

Is the problem that files with Umlauts in their filename are unable to have their tags read?

Or is the problem that tags with Umlauts (not filenames) are not showing up correctly?

If you're willing, you might try Media Center 13 since it has an updated MP3 tagging engine.
