Disabling Mainconcept Video Decoder & Splitter for MPEG-2s ?
« on: January 27, 2009, 11:15:44 am »

MC13 (112) seems to insist on using the Mainconcept video splitter and decoder for my recorded TV shows (MPEG-2).  Can someone tell me where/what Mainconcept comes from from and how I can get rid of it or unregister it?

I have .mpg files set to use "J River engine with direct show".... with no filters selected yet. I have installed CCCP and plan to test filters, but the TV mpg files somehow default to "mainconcept".... which doesn't play the files correctly.  Ripped dvds will default to "Gabest" for video decoding and they play OK, but I'd like to test other filters.

Thanks in advance for any knowledge regarding mainconcept.

Try selecting "MPEG-2 Demultiplexer" filter for mpg files.
