im not sure why this option misses when using enter in theaterview. you can choose play all, which i use a lot, and add any many variations, but not add all which makes more sence when you want to play an album. i know it can be found in the roller, but could we please get it also under the enter.

Also, there's no "add" option on the Context menu for images. Useful for building a mixed playlist of music and photos.

yes for images it misses also. also from the roller. in my case it would also be usefull for playing images only.

By design, adding of images is not possible in Theater View.

well, thats all by design. that is why i started this thread. hoping to change some design choices because they dont feel logical to me, as an average user.

Huh? Why are images so different to everything else? Like I've said before, I think the importance and potential usefulness of Playing Now in Theater View is underestimated. Not being able to add selected images is just another example of that.

They are sincerely different because you can have audio playing while you start images.  I like it when I have audio and start looking at pictures: theater view really handles the playback nicely.  I never have to worry about interrupting my music.  Plus, you can't really have a playlist of images in the background because then you couldn't see or edit it--once you stop the images by leaving the images, I think the playlist is thrown away.  It may be a slight sacrifice but it really works well I think.

What's the big deal? Bring back the ADD menu item in the Theater View context menu for images (as it is EVERYWHERE else) - problem solved.

I think the best use for the roller space that has Play All is for now playing and keep the play, add, and shuffle stuff in the context menus. Has anyone even used the Play All roller item? Maybe its just me and others feel its very useful at that location.

well, peter, i guess that that is my point. i dont need to use play all from the roller, because it is also an option when you hit enter when on a file. and when you go to 'more play options' i get a list with a lot of play and add options, most of them fairly exotic, and there are only two missing, add all and shuffle all.

apparently 'play all' is stuck to the enter list, so apparently important. the other place changes to what is used last, but no way to get 'add all' there.

so, yes i use the roller to add all, and i use it when not on the last level, so enter would bring me to the next, but i want to play everything that is there.

yes. indeed. in standard view it is easy to add images.
and in thv i can add audio and video files, even data files like pdf, or word files, the only file i cant add is images.

i understand the choices mc made for image playback as Ben explained, but i fail to see why that would exclude an add command for images in thv.

well..  .. since i can only think in albums. is there a way to warm you up to include 'add all (as next to play)' to that list.
