Play List Creation When Connected to MC Server
« on: February 28, 2009, 04:34:07 am »

Hi,

When my MC client is connected to a MC Server and I create a new play list it doesn't save the play list.  I can successfully create it and add media to it but when restarting the client MC the new play list isn't there.  Should it be?

Cheers,
Nicholas

when you connect to a mediaserver, you actually download a copy
you find it here ...Application Data\J River\Media Center 13\Connected Library
so when you add a playlist you do it in this folder/db
when you exit, it deletes it self

i have not tried this, but if you change library (not exit) you can go into that folder and copy databasefile playlists (playlistx.jmd) and then copy it to the server

edit..nope it should not work, the filename is wrong i guess, but smarlists should work

This should realy be a feature... I have 3 computers running against my server, and I would realy like to not do a manual export/import to every computer. in 12 atleast the playlists on the server are shared, but I can't get this working on 13.

I agree.

This would have to be my top want list feature...to be able to manage play lists from the clients.  I spend most of my time on the clients and having to go to the server, which I might not even have access to, to manage my lists is inconvenient to the point where I just don't do it half the time.
