Importing audio files from my Web Site
« on: March 02, 2009, 12:45:26 am »

I have a question with regards to importing some audio files which I have stored on my private web site. There are no copyright or drm issues. Original stuff.

I have tried several ways as well as browsed through the help and I am a bit confused on the best/easiest way of doing this.

The first thing is that in the help, it saw a reference to using MS Media Center as well as MS Explorer. Those are two products that I do not use. I do use Firefox to browse on my Vista 64 bit, AMD dual processor system.

  • If these are MP3 files, is it best to first create M3U files to reference them before trying to import them into MC 13 ?
  • In having the MC 13 import function look at my web site and reference a folder (directory), on my web and grab the songs for later playing, is it possible to use the conventional MC 13 import procedures ??

Thanks in advance,
