MP3 won't play because MC12 thinks they are FLAC

I have a couple of MP3s that MC12 will not play.  When I add them to MC12 they are listed as File Type "flac" even though the extension is *.mp3.  I tried deleting all tags thinking it could be something in the tags but this didn't seem to help.  I can play these mp3s with WMP and WinAmp so I know there is nothing wrong with them.

Any thoughts to this very bizarre problem?

I figured it out.  I was converting some FLAC files to MP3 and left copies with the same file name but different extension in the same directory.  It seems like a bug for MC to be getting confused between two files with the same name but different extension.  Thoughts?
