I had to pause a moment when I saw this tonight.  Silicon Graphics is about to be sold for $25 million, out of bankruptcy.

SGI was one of three companies that eventually had market caps of $1 Billion, and were started by Jim Clarke, who was the subject of "The New New Thing", a great book about computers, the Internet, and entrepreneurship.

SGI bought Cray Research a while back.  Cray was in our back yard.

I Knew Someone Once (Like Around 1994) That Said He Worked For Cray, But It Was In Colorado Springs, That Was Before SGI Bought Cray.

I Think Apple Also Had A Plant There Also.
