Can't rip with Overwrite turned on
« on: May 03, 2009, 02:08:42 pm »

I receive unknown error in the encoder messages (repeat immediately over and over until rip is canceled) when ripping with CD->Advanced Ripping Options->Overwrite exisiting files with same name.

This occurs whether the CD in question has been ripped before or whether it's the first time and there are no pre-existing files where the rip would point.  I receive the error using the built-in MP3 encoder on VBR settings and MC actually crashes using the WMA encoder.

This wasn't really meant as a bug report.  I was looking for possible solutions to the problem.  Anyone?

We're looking at it.  The encoder system was updated recently, and is the likely cause of this issue.

OK, thanks.  Sounds like it was reproducible?  That's always a good sign for finding a fix.
