Laptop Low-rider Mode
« on: July 16, 2002, 07:53:58 pm »

As long as we're tossing around requests for new features, how about a low-rider mode for laptops?  You've seen those low-rider cars, that bounce up and down on the road using hydraulics.  It'd be really cool if MJ could make my laptop bounce up and down on my desk to the beat of the music, or even rotate like a breakdancer on their back.  One option may be to close the top first, or maybe automatically disconnect all wires.

Well, if this is too much to ask, I suppose just giving us 'mjextman.exe /Clear Playing Now except for Current Song' would be OK (aw shucks, golly gee).

We just met and discussed priorities and decided that the "low-rider" mode just has to get into version 8. Sorry, but that means the mjextman enhancement will have to wait. Marketing wants something sexy and 'mjextman.exe /Clear Playing Now except for Current Song' just doesn't cut it.

Scronch,
What you're looking for is technically speaking, a piece of cake, but your terminology is confusing.  I think you mean a "low rider with juice".  You need the juice to make it jump.

I can see you've been reading "Low Rider" magazine, one of my all-time favorites.

JimH, I demand a refund.  For my entire laptop.  I just fired up MJ, poured a half-gallon of OJ into the keyboard, and there was no bouncing or spinning at all.  Just a bunch of sparks and some burnt citrus smell.

But I do love the latest MJ juice...
