Setup Help
« on: Yesterday at 10:22:54 am »

I currently have four TVs running an APP called Channels DVR [https://getchannels.com/]  which accesses both my HDHomeRun tuners and my cable TV "TV Everywhere" channels and provides a guide and DVR capabilities for both.  I'd like to replace the Channels DVR with JRiver MC on all my devices ( 3 Apple TVs and one Android device (Fire TV))  but I am having a hard time figuring out how to set up the hardware.   Is this possible?

My main TV is an LG OLED (with DLNA) with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio with either a Fire TV or Apple TV streamer.   I am hoping to also have an easy to use system that the low tech family members can navigate.

My computers are not with the TVs although I can have one near the main TV.....

Honestly, the only decent 10ft UI for TV's is directly connecting a Windows PC/NUC to the TV. JRiver's "app" for Android is not anything like MC Theater View on Windows. It's primitive in comparison, and it doesn't have TV GUIDE at all (AFAIK). There is no "app" for FireTV or AppleTV, period.

I have a Windows machine but the HDMI output is horrible.
