This is a "what are your best practices" thread. not a specific problem.
For years I used to manually tag all my video files, typing each field every time. the read tag from filename is nice, but there are so many different ways people label their files, it became less trouble to retype than to figure out which preset matched the file i was working with.
About 4 months ago i started using the tree to tag. I set up a view scheme for movies and one for tv, with sort categories for each file i need filled in, and just drag groups of files over to the proper sub heading and let mc do the work.
It strikes me there may be an even even better way to do it. How do you, who have huge numbers of video files to manage, tag your files?
